17Crop - Livestock systems in IndiaSuch change also necessitates reorientation of approach, planning andimplementation strategies for facilitating growth of animal husbandry anddairy sectors:‣ Future growth in AH and dairy sector would primarily be market drivengrowth and depends on how well the marketing strategies are conceivedand put in place ;‣ One of the key drivers for the sectoral growth is that livestock farmingsystems would be technology‐driven.
