FOR PRIVATE CIRCULATION ONLYDear Parents,Friday School NewsletterTerm 1: Issue 10, 18 November 2011Today sees the last few meetings and visits of the CfBT Inspectors within the School, followedby some provisional conclusions delivered to SMT and Governors. The final, written reportwill reach us in a few weeks, after any necessary moderation by the "umbrella" organisation, which is the UK government agency OFSTED, and the report will also be available on theinternet once it is finalised. On the School's behalf I would like to thank the five Inspectors forall their hard work this week, and we look forward to hearing their advice on how to continueto improve Uplands to the standards of the best schools in England and Wales. Sometimes it ishard to listen to advice but the staff in the School have a great deal of confidence, both in theenormous experience of the CfBT organisation, and in their operation under the auspices ofOFSTED - which insists on absolute impartiality and independence from its contractororganisations. After reflecting on the conclusions of the Report, the CfBT recommendationswill help the Governors to frame the next School Strategic Plan, and help the School make anynecessary curriculum and staffing adjustments for the next academic year.
