eports.In 1989, the amalgamation of several clubs and coaching leaders created the new “Ottawa Lions”. The few clubs thatchose not to be included in this structure would eventually disappear within only a few years. The City of Ottawa andit’s surrounding regions came to be served by one effective “all-inclusive” approach to the sport. The Ottawa Lionsorganization continues to be a unique within Canada, providing leadership, coaching and service to our sport fromcoast to coast.It is our intent to recognize and enshrine the achievements of our both our athletes and coaches. It is their efforts andtheir achievements that better serve the “Lions Legacy”. This history will assist current and future athletes to excel ...offering a reference of achievement, of terms of expectation and of aspiration to excellence.These Lists and Rankings will be reviewed, updated and re-posted on a biannual basis each April and October.
