The agreed specification saw four gas-poweredMiele commercial tumble dryers installed, each witha maximum 40kg capacity. These proved an attractiveoption as gas tumble dryers are typically up to 50 percent cheaper than equivalent electric models to operate.The Miele gas dryers achieve higher temperatures morequickly, and are more fuel efficient. Miele Troctroni<strong>can</strong>d Profitronic M controls provide intelligent controlreducing drying time and producing savings. The dryers’air recycling systems reuse around 60 per cent of heatedexhaust air back into the drying cycle, while Miele’spatented Honeycomb Drum system uses an axial aircurrent, allowing the laundry to float on a cushion ofwarmed air as it dries, producing less creasing.Calor’s experience and expertise delivered thespecification for a clean, reliable and cost effectivefuel supply to power the new system.
