1.7 Ties in the AWCR will be solved on the basis on:• The archers’ position in the FITA World Ranking issued immediately afterthe last AWC stages (Shanghai, August 2009)• If the tie persists, the archers’ position in the latest AWCR in 2008• If the tie still persists or neither of the archers is present in the previousyear’s AWCR, the result of the last AWCS in which they both participated• If still unresolved, a coin toss will be made1.8 A maximum of two archers per country will qualify for the AWCF in each men’sand women’s category (i.e. 2 recurve men, 2 recurve women, 2 compoundmen, 2 compound women). If one country has more than two archers in thetop 4 positions in the AWCR, the next archers on the list will qualify.1.9 A position in the AWCR can be used only by the archer who won it. It is not aposition won for the archer’s country. This means that the archer who wins aposition for the AWCF cannot be replaced by another archer from his owncountry.1.10 If an archer who has won a position for the AWCF is unable to participate, thenext ranked archer on the AWCR will be invited to compete in the AWCF. Adeadline for confirmation of participation will be established and published byFITA, giving time for substitution if necessary.1.11 MIXED TEAM Competition: The mixed team competition will be introduced inthis season’s World Cup in order to develop and promote such a competition. Amixed team is composed by one (1) male and one (1) female archer from thesame country and same bow division. Therefore, there will be a RECURVE Mixed Team competition and a COMPOUNDMixed Team competition. Each country that will have at least one man and onewoman of the same bow division will have a mixed team. There is no need tomake specific registration for this competition. The best score from thequalification round of one male and one female from the same country andbow division will establish the score of the mixed team competition. The first four (4) teams only from the qualification round ranking will go to theelimination phase (semi-finals and medal matches). For the elimination phase (semi-finals and medal matches), each team candecide which archer will be the member of the mixed team. It could be, or not,the same archer who gave the score in the qualification round. Therefore, teams can make changes, or not, in the members of the team for the finals.Any further changes in team members are not allowed as soon as the finalsstart (semi-finals and medal matches). The match format for the Mixed Team competition is based on 16 arrowscompetition at 70 meters, with the regular scoring on a 122 cm FITA targetface. (4 end of 4 arrows -2 arrows per archer- with 1min 20 sec as themaximum time allowed per end).Shoot off and other possible matters during the Mixed Team competition willbe managed by the same rules and principles as the regular team competition.
