The fragrant flowers brought by
loving hands to beautify her last
resting place must soon fade and be
borne away by the biting winter
winds, but in that land which lies
beyond the farther borders of this
life, the redeemed spirit of the wife,
mother, friend, and neighbor shall
live forever in presence of an all
merciful God.
To the grief-stricken father and
children, we tender our deepest
sympathy and we know that God
who mark the sparrow’s fall and
tempers the wind to the shorn Lamb
will comfort them in the sad and
lonely hours which lie ahead of
them.
Maxie W. McDaniel was born
August 14, 1884, died February 10,
1920. He was 36 years, 5 months
and 27 days old.
He leaves to mourn his loss a wife,
four children, Woodford, Thomas,
Carl, Ethel May and three step-sons,
one sister, Mrs. Annie Shepherd and
one brother, Bates McDaniel.
His remains were laid to rest in the
Bullitts Lick Cemetery Wednesday.
He had been a member of the
Bullitts Lick Church about 20 years.
He was a noble husband and father
and with his neighbors he was kind
and obliging. He had toiled hard all
his life and was preparing to enjoy
the remainder when death took him
away.
We extend to the bereaved ones our
sympathy. We know that his family
and neighbors have sustained a great
loss.
Peace to his ashes and each Spring
when the grass grows and flowers
bloom, may they beautify the mound
beneath which he lies asleep.
Asleep in Jesus. Blessed sleep, from
which he never wakes to weep.
