Jesler Mezidor was born in Port Au Prince Haiti; he is the youngest out of two brothers and twosisters. He nourished a keen passion for education and the fine arts. At a very early age, his teachers inHaiti as well as his classmates had already discovered a leader in him. His passion for teaching stemsfrom his participation as a presenter at Franck Etienne College in Port au Prince on the most prominentauthors of French literature when he was only in 9 th grade.Jesler came to the USA almost 23 years ago. He became the student government president of thehigh school program at Lindsey Hopkins. After he graduated from high school, he went to Miami DadeCollege where he earned his associate degree in secondary education. Jesler then transferred to BethuneCookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida on a full scholarship. While at Cookman, he became theTreasurer of Project MODEL (Males of Diversity Exhibiting Leadership). He was also awarded theproject model man of the year award, which was a highly competitive award. Jesler made the President’slist for every semester while enrolled at Cookman, consequently became the Chaplain of the prestigiouseducational organization Kappa Delta PI.As a member of the CEC (council of exceptional children), Jesler was a proud presenter at theCEC conference held in Vancouver, Canada in April of 2001. His presentation focused on the importanceof having male of minority groups in the field of education. Jesler graduated from Cookman with thehighest honor from Varying Exceptionalities, and he subsequently earned his master degree from FloridaAtlantic University in Educational Leadership.As an educator, artist and poet, he brings his art to the classroom to elicit the students’ inneremotion and thoughts. In addition, Jesler is the voice and ears of the Haitian parents; he serve not only astheir translators but also as a connecting bridge to an unknown system. As a poet, he travels through theinner being of his fans to elicit their inner emotions and thoughts. As a comedian, his peculiar and uniquestyle of humor delivery is nothing short of impeccable. He is a multitalented and multifaceted artist whobrings a different taste to our community with passion, enthusiasm, and love for what he does.

Jesler taught a 3 rd and 4 th grade gifted class in 2000 at Palm Terrace Elementary school inDaytona Beach, Florida. He also taught at the Village Elementary Emotionally Handicapped cluster forthree years. He was the Zone Behavior Specialist for three years for the North Central Area, facilitatingworkshops for teachers and other instructional staff. He is currently teaching at the autism cluster ofMeadowbrook Elementary in Fort Lauderdale.Beside his professional career, Jesler is a proud, dedicating and loving father of a special daughterby the name of Nia. Jesler is also a well known artist in the Haitian community of South Florida, NewYork and Haiti. He released his first story-telling and satiric CD in March 2009 entitled, “Future of thePast”. Jesler is a poet, a radio show host, and a philanthropist who helped organized many events inMiami to help the disenfranchised children of Haiti.
