Digne descendant dumodèle Xrace de 2004, qui avait marqué les esprits, cecadre spécifiquement conçu pour le 29” par les ingénieursLapierre, adopte une géométrie dédiée à la compétition,une structure simplifiée à l’extrême et nouveau systèmemono-pivot, garantie d’un gain de poids important et d’unerigidité optimisée.La suppression de l’articulation entre les bases et leshaubans est compensée par le « flex » du triangle arrièrecarbone. L’amortisseur Fox spécialement développé pourle XR, est réglable manuellement sur 3 positions : CTD(Climb, Trail, Down) et permet d’obtenir un débattementde 100 mm. XR est compatible e:i shock, pour unemeilleure qualité de pilotage.Véritable alternative au Hard Tail, ce VTT très dynamiques’avère une vraie bête de course. Très performant encôtes, grâce à son poids et une adhérence hors pair, leXR est également hyper à l’aise en descente grâce à lacombinaison amortisseur/roues de 29” et une positionbasse qui met le pilote en confiance. Selon le souhaitde nos ingénieurs, le XR offre une position de pilotagesimilaire à celle d’un 26” grâce à un boitier de pédalierbas et une potence inversée.Disponible en 3 versions, toutes full carbone,le XR, avec son bras oscillant asymétrique,bénéficie d’une câblerie entièrement intégréeet d’un équipement haut de gamme.XR = XL PERFORMANCEA major innovation of the 2013 MTB range, this pure29’’cross-country bike is noted for its innovative, sleekdesign and light weight. As a worthy descendant of thewell-loved 2004 Xrace, this frame was specificallyconceived by our engineers for 29” wheels.The XR geometry is oriented towards competition. Itselegant yet simple design via a new mono-pivot system,guarantees critical weight loss and optimized stiffness.The elimination of linkages between seat stays and chainstays decreases weight, and is compensated by carbonflexibility on these areas.The Fox rear shock has been specifically developedand tuned for the XR and can be set up manually on 3positions : CTD (Climb, Trail, Down) so as to offer100 mm of travel. XR is also compatible with e:i shock,for even better riding response.The bike is a viable alternative to hardtails yet remains adynamic racing weapon! Superbly efficient while climbing,thanks to its light weight and excellent traction, the XRis equally good in descents, due to the rear shock / 29’’wheel combination coupled with a low position that givesthe rider confidence.As required by our engineers, the rider position is similarto that of the 26”, due to a low bottom bracket andnegative rise stem.Available in 3 all-carbon models, the XR comesstock with an asymmetrical swing arm, integratedcable routing and high-end components.5051
