Forget the car and catch our Snowline bus. Dedicated buses to and 

from the slopes leave every 20 minutes. No need to bother with driving, 

road conditions, chains or parking. Buses are a safe, convenient and 

comfortable alternative for getting to the snow while taking in the views. 

Buy your Snowline Express ticket in advance and then jump on enroute, 

or pre-book for door-to-door service on the Snowline Hotel 

Pick Up service.

This daily scheduled service takes you from Queenstown Snow Centre 

to the mountains and back again. Operates June–October. Collection is 

based on seat availability but don’t worry as buses run frequently!

Here’s one for you intrepid early risers. Get your boots on before the sun 

bursts over the peaks and as well as a stunning sunrise you’ll get your 

pick of the first runs down. There’s nothing quite like being the first on 

the smooth groomed corduroy or making fresh tracks in the new snow.

WHAT TO WEAR 

Essential: Layers are key and wool works best. Remember you 

can always remove layers on a hot day. Also, waterproof jacket 

and pants, plus gloves, a woollen hat and eye protection. 

Highly Recommended: Helmet and ski goggles. 

Helmets, waterproof jackets and pants are available at 

our rental department and you can buy all other items at 

our mountain shop. See Page 34.

LESSONS 

If you’ve never been on the snow before a session with one 

of our qualified Snowsports instructors will start you off 

nicely and build your confidence. You’ll learn all the basics 

plus everything from getting your skis on, to getting on and

FOOD AND DRINK 

It’s hard work having fun! Stay hydrated and keep up your

SUNSCREEN 

Don’t forget! Protecting your skin with regular applications 

of sunscreen is vital on the snow. Last thing you want is to 

end the day looking like a lobster!

If you’ve never been on snow before this package is for you. You’ll cover 

the basic skills such as staying upright, stopping, riding surface lifts and 

turning. Under the expert guidance of our Snowsports instructors you’ll 

learn to ski or ride with confidence, all while having the time of your life.

A 1-Day or multi-day option designed for people with snow experience, 

including those who’ve just completed a Starter and/or Novice pack. 

You may already be a novice and need a refresher on the basic skills and 

fundamentals to build your confidence on challenging terrain or to iron out 

any bad habits. Advanced skiers and riders can also benefit by fine-tuning 

your technique with excellent help from our Snowsports instructors.

KiDs snoWsPorTs school 

Make it an adventure! You’ll find plenty to keep the littlies’ and 

youngsters more than happy on the mountain. We offer expert childcare 

at our fully licensed facilities for the tiniest in the family and fun-filled 

activities, lessons and school holiday programmes to entertain the 

not-so little ones on the slopes. 

Dedicated beginner and novice terrain and easy-to-use surface conveyor 

lifts make it the perfect environment for budding young skiers and 

boarders. They’ll come along in leaps and bounds, especially with 

laughter and encouragement from professional instructors and our 

mischief-making mountain mascots Spike and Shred!

the latest clothing and equipment and our on-site technicians keep it in 

top condition. Our Performance range is ideal for all you experienced 

skiers and snowboarders. These are the best you can get, hand picked 

for their suitability to our mountain terrain. 

Thanks to our innovative Head BYS system fitting is quick and easy too. 

That means less time strapping on the gear and more time carving up the 

slopes. You can swap and upgrade, or if something’s is not right for you it’s 

sorted out right there on the spot. We provide overnight storage and for 

added flexibility you can return your gear to Coronet Peak, The Remarkables 

or the Queenstown Snow Centre – whatever’s easiest for you.

Stay in control at all times. Know your ability, 

start easy, be able to stop and avoid other people. 

People below you have the right of way. The skier 

or boarder downhill of you has the right of way. 

Also look above before entering a trail. 

Obey all ski area signage. Signs are there for 

your safety, keep out of closed areas. 

Look before you leap. Scope jumps first, ensure 

the area is clear of others, use a spotter on 

blind jumps. 

Stop where you can be seen. When stopping, try 

to move to the side of the trail and where you can 

be seen from above. 

Don’t lose what you use. Equipment must be 

secured while walking or stashing. 

Stay on scene. If you are involved in, or witness, 

an accident, remain at the scene and identify 

yourself to Ski Patrol. 

Respect gets respect. From the lift line, to the 

slopes and through the park.
