Her writing reflects thetopics she feels the most passionateabout: the issues facing youth in thisday and age, such as sexual violence,suicide, bullying, drugs and alcohol.A sensitive and passionate youthartist, Allysa strives to convey aninsightful message to her fellowyouth through her spoken word.Sergio Guerra aka "Hyf the GypsySun"is a Salvadorian-born writer, poet/MC, and producer currently basedout of Ottawa. Exploring themesof identity, cultural intersections,Islamic revival, and the reclamationof ancestral roots for displacedpeoples, Hyf is dramaticallyinfluenced by his early migration,having fled the civil war at theage of seven to arrive in Canada.Hyf works to illuminate our humanpotential by creating intersectionsbetween themes that are not easilyheld in the same heart. We all havethe choice to be who we want to be,but do we have the courage? He isalso part of Canada’s only hip-hopspoken word group Missing LinXand founder of the Nationless Mindscollective. Hyf is also a musicproducer, a skill he uses to give asonic element to his blood memory.
