SEAMEO-<strong>SPAFA</strong> is one of the centres established by SEAMEO(Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation). It is a regionalcentre constituted in 1985 from the SEAMEO Project forArchaeology and Fine Arts (<strong>SPAFA</strong>). <strong>SPAFA</strong> promotes awareness,appreciation and wise use of the cultural heritage of SoutheastAsian countries through the disciplinary fields of archaeology,museology, visual and performing arts, and cultural resourcemanagement, including heritage tourism. <strong>SPAFA</strong>’s membercountriesinclude Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR,Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam,and Timor Leste; Associate member-countries are Australia,Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norwayand Spain.
