Background• Met-Ed and Penelec filed their Default Service Program onFebruary 20, 2009 to procure supply for their customersafter the expiration of the rate caps on January 1, 2011• A default service customer is a customer that does notchoose service from an Electric Generation Supplier (“EGS”)• The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (“Commission”)approved the Petition for Settlement on November 6, 2009• The Order is found here:http://www.puc.state.pa.us/general/search.aspxUnder Docket Nos.
