Introduce the name of the session <strong>and</strong> its place in theevaluation design framework flip chart.2. Use the flip charts developed during session 2.1 (<strong>and</strong>/or page7 of the learner’s <strong>guide</strong>) to review the main reasons for, oruses of evaluations.3. Ask participants to identify the main audiences for evaluations.Write them on a flip chart. Make sure that they include themain audiences identified in the learner’s <strong>guide</strong>.4. Place this flip chart next to the flip chart developed duringsession 2.1 <strong>and</strong> briefly facilitate participants to match themain reasons for evaluations with these different audiences.Comment on the extent of the overlap.5. Explain the importance of considering who the primaryaudience for the evaluation will be, <strong>and</strong> the value of workingwith other audiences (particularly funders) to develop designevaluations.6. Close day one of the workshop by reminding participants whattime they should be back in the workshop room tomorrowmorning.
