THE PRESIDENTS REPORT…..
Great to see some new members with us last rally and what a rally it was with good
weather and some great riding....
You may notice the improved entrance and side fence at the next rally. This was the
result of the combined working bee one Monday night a few weeks ago between the
Ivens Reserve Grounds Committee, Lysterfield Adult Riders, the Standard Bred
Riders Group, and Hallam Valley PC. Thanks to those members who attended on
the night.
Don't forget we have the first official HVPC working bee for 2011 coming up. Keep an
ear out for the date and the time. We've got a big list of jobs that need doing..!
Mark

THE DISTRICT COMMISSIONERS REPORT...
Hi Everyone,
FEBRUARY RALLY, 2011.
Despite slow start the rally went well. The weather was just right for both horse
& riders. We welcome new member to the club, Maddy Bills riding Nikki (Taylah’s
horse) while her horse is out of action. This meant Taylah was riding mum’s horse- did you see the size of
that horse- Bert!!! I must say Taylah rode well. We also had Charley Davison on Gypsy, from Dandy
Ranges Pony club to try our club before she considers transferring. We also had first timers to pony club-
the Blacker Family- Zorg, Natz & Pip. It was also the first ridden rally for new member Aimee DeAngelis.
We hope they all enjoyed themselves and were able to experience first-hand what a great bunch we are
and look forward to seeing them again!
With such an influx of new talent we decided to assess their abilities before slotting them into our groups.
Fortunately we had 4 instructors, including experienced Samantha Bartlett- an experienced ODE
competitor.
Gear-check: Please ensure you wear the name & PCAV badges; they are compulsory part of uniform.
Congratulations to Laura Travis on being our HVPC high point award recipient, she was presented with
her trophy rug. We look forward to seeing a photo of Mouse wearing the rug?
We have had a few enquiries about our postponed club ODE. At this stage it has been decided to not
replace it, just plan to do it again at our usual December rally.
We are in planning stage for our AGM. Besides election of office bearers, this is the time where the club
recognises the efforts of both riders’ achievement & parents’ support. Posted in the newsletter will be the
award criteria, please take a look so that you will have an understanding of the awards- Good luck to all!
Next rally, Sunday March 13 th Labour Day Long Weekend!!! Gear Check 9.15am sharp!
See your there! Karen & Kylie
