All Saints Improvement PlanAs always, the staff at the school are working hard to make the school experience asrewarding as possible for all our learners. Across the whole school we have made four mainpriorities which we are all working towards improving on:Priority for Improvement1. Continue to implement the Curriculumfor Excellence focussing on the BroadGeneral Curriculum from S1-3 and theintroduction of the new nationalqualification in the senior phase S4-6.2. Continue to improve our learnersexperience in school so that they areengaged in their learning and aredeveloping their skills.3. To improve the way we shareimportant information on our learnersamong teachers to make sure theirlearning, emotional, spiritual and socialneeds are met in and out of classes.4. To improve every learner’s attainmentin school. To recognise and celebratelearners achievements in and out ofschool.How we will deliverReview all our courses for S1-3 and improvethem to make sure they are helpinglearners to develop fully and to preparethem well for the senior phase.We are focussing on how we assess theprogress of all our learners, how we judgetheir progress in learning and prepareeveryone for the new qualifications in2013-14 by familiarising ourselves withthem. At all points we are aiming to involveour learners in their own assessment.Using more co-operative learning strategiesin classes and importantly givingteachers time to discuss their classroompractice with each other to share goodpractice.Involving all teachers in planning for thelearning of our most vulnerable learnersthrough Additional Support Plans. Introducinga new confidential data base oflearner’s support needs to share key information.We will have more staff involved in supportinglearners.Track all learner’s progress in all theirsubjects keeping parents and carers informed.Identify under performance anddeal with it effectively. Celebrate success.Improve the way we reward learnerachievement. Help our learners recordtheir achievement.This is only a summary of some of the steps we are taking to improve across the school. Ourfocus all day, every day is on making everyone’s experience in All Saints a very positive oneleading to success for everyone.Full Attendance = Best Chance of Success
