Thefollowing steps will help you through the process of organizing your function.Room ReservationsFor all campus locations, including Young Dining Hall and the Trexler StudentCenter, contact the Special Events Office for Queens University of Charlotte at(704) 337-2560 or e-mail facilityrental@queens.edu.Contacting ChartwellsTo insure the success of the occasion, contact our offices to make an appointment.Contact our Director of Catering, Brad Green at (704) 688-2822 or e-mailgreenb@queens.edu. Contact our Catering Manager, Terri Payne at 704-688-2825 or e-mail paynet@queens.edu. Our Wedding Event Coordinator, CarlaBost can be reached at (704) 333-9090. Faxes can be sent to (704) 688-2826.Event Minimums and GuaranteesThere is a minimum of 75 guests required for all Young Dining Room receptionsand events. The guarantee is required two weeks prior to your catered event.This confirmation and guarantee will include exact times, location, attendance,menu choices and room set-up. If your event is cancelled, you are responsiblefor contacting the Catering Department and canceling the event. You will beliable for full payment of your food bill for any event that is not cancelled within72 hours prior to the event and confirmed in writing by the customer. If theUniversity is closed due to inclement weather, all catering events will beautomatically cancelled.Additional Charges and FeesEvent Staffing: To insure that your event is a success, Catering Staff will needto be provided for all catered functions. We require 1 staff member per 8 guestsin a seated dinner environment and 1 staff member per 25 guests in a receptionenvironment. Rates for Event Staffing are $20 per hour and clients are requiredto pay for 1 hour prior and 2 hours after the event for setup and cleanup, inaddition to the hours of the event. Through our years of experience, we havedetermined the appropriate number of servers to ensure a successful event.8
