Course Location<br />

<strong>APLS</strong> * <strong>PALS</strong> will be held Monday, January 26 &<br />

Tuesday, January 27, 2009, <strong>in</strong> the Auditorium at Holy<br />

Family Medical Center, 100 North River Road, Des<br />

Pla<strong>in</strong>es, Ill<strong>in</strong>ois. Registration will be open from 7:30<br />

AM - 8:00 AM on January 26. The course will beg<strong>in</strong> at<br />

8:00 AM and end at 5:15 PM each day.<br />

Course Format<br />

The comb<strong>in</strong>ed course format offers participants<br />

the best of the <strong>APLS</strong> and <strong>PALS</strong> curricula, <strong>in</strong>tegrat<strong>in</strong>g<br />

case-based lectures, small group discussions, and<br />

hands-on skills stations to maximize the effectiveness<br />

of the two-day review.<br />

At the conclusion of the course, participants will<br />

take the <strong>APLS</strong> and <strong>PALS</strong> written exams and receive a<br />

certificate of completion. Participants must also<br />

demonstrate proficiency at the <strong>PALS</strong> skills stations<br />

<strong>in</strong> order to receive an American Heart Association<br />

<strong>PALS</strong> recognition card.<br />
