ALFRED WEEK RESEARCH POSTERDISPLAYMonday, 22 October to Friday, 26 October, 2012The deadline for receipt of abstracts is 5pm Monday, 10 September. Abstracts submittedafter this date will not be accepted.The Research Poster Display will be held in the main ground floor corridors of The Alfred. Posterprize winners will be announced on Thursday, 25 October.Call for AbstractsStaff members of The Alfred, Burnet Institute, Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute andMonash, Deakin and La Trobe University departments based at AMREP are invited to submitabstracts for poster presentations. Accepted abstracts will be compiled into a booklet.Instructions for Abstracts• An abstract must contain sufficient information so that it is a complete report independentof the poster presentation. The text should not contain statements that refer to results orconclusions not presented within the text• Abstracts presented at other conferences/meetings in 2012 are acceptable• Abstracts should be no more than 300 words and should include a title, list of author names(surname and initials) and departmental affiliation(s)• Abstracts should be formatted according to the example available athttp://www.alfredresearch.org/alfredweek.htm• No more than one abstract should be submitted with the same first authorNotification of acceptance of abstracts will be e-mailed to submitting authors and will includeinstructions for display of the posters.
