Heis sired by the great Liner 56U bull and mothered by an excellent, black blaze face cow we againpurchased from Windmill Simmentals. These Windmill cows have really worked well for us and mosthave a shot of Fleckvieh in them as does Bridgestone’s grandmother who is a high percentage Fleckcow. 299Y is a mid March calf, he’s solid black withonly a white blaze face, he’s soggy, deep, thick, bigtopped and has an absolute beautiful hair coat. Yes,he is again heterozygous polled, but that isn’t goingto stop us from using him heavily, the time has cometo use quality first. We think with the popularity of thebaldy cattle, that Bridgestone could become one ofthe leading sires of its advancement.
