Important informationLocation of the telephone• The telephone should be operated in a controlled environment with anambient temperature between 5°C and <strong>40</strong>°C.• To ensure good speakerphone quality, the area in front of the microphone(front right) should be kept clear. Any other use is regardedas unauthorized.Telephone typeThe identification details (exact product designation and serial number) ofyour telephone can be found on the nameplate on the underside of thebase unit. Specific details concerning your communications platform canbe obtained from your service technician.Please have this information ready when you contact our service departmentregarding faults or problems with the product.Voice encryptionYour <strong>OpenStage</strong> <strong>40</strong>/<strong>40</strong> G, software release 2 (V1 R2.xxxx) and later, supportsvoice encryption on <strong>HiPath</strong> <strong>40</strong>00 V4 R1. This allows you to use your<strong>OpenStage</strong> to perform tap-proof calls.
