2 The Social Barrier:This can be overcome once Community realise that thelane in front of their houses also belong to them andclearly identify its immediate objective3 The Economic Barrier:This can be rectified through affordable cost ofdevelopment, using appropriate technologies, tariffdiscount in service charges etc.4 The Technical Barrier:This can be resolved by providing training for estimation,designing, technical back up support duringimplementation, O&MWith out ParticipationGovernment Conventional DevelopmentTotal Sanitation•ASB is ensuring the target of total sanitation, in this regard all theresidents of lane are mobilize to construct latrines, take connectionwith lane sewers and close the open drains.• All the Inhabitants have to pay their share to make the sense ofownership and to maintain the dignity.BeforeAfter2
