<strong>Arrow</strong> Are The Best In The West:Has Such Dominance Ever Been Seen Before?In what is perhaps the most dominant display at any State Championship eventin Australian Karting history, <strong>Arrow</strong> Racing <strong>Karts</strong> enjoyed phenomenal successat the 2008 Western Australia State Championships. <strong>Arrow</strong> claimed wins in anamazing 12 out of the 16 classes and dominated the remaining podiumpositions throughout the event.Photo courtesy of: www.chief-racing.comThe 2008 Western Australia State Championships were held at the Wundowie Circuitover the weekend of the 4 th and 5 th of October. The event had great support withover 250 entries from across Australia competing in the 16 classes on offer. In asingle weekend <strong>Arrow</strong> became a 12 time State Champion, winning 12 out of the 16classes on offer at the 2008 West Australian State Championships. <strong>Arrow</strong> driverswon the Rookie, Junior National Light, Junior National Heavy, Junior Clubman, SeniorNational Light, Senior National Heavy, Clubman Light, Clubman Super Heavy, Over40’s, Rotax Light, Leopard Light, Leopard Heavy titles and another sixteen 2 nd and 3 rdpodium places. Overall <strong>Arrow</strong> had a total eight more podium places then all otherrival branded chassis combined!In what became a familiar sight throughout the Championships, <strong>Arrow</strong> set the pacefor the duration of the weekend. In the Rotax Light class <strong>Arrow</strong> drivers NathanDavis, Andrew Prince and Guy Webster proved to be too strong for the rest of thefield, occupying all three podium positions in the final, in what was a tremendoustrifecta for <strong>Arrow</strong> Racing <strong>Karts</strong>.


Loyal, longtime <strong>Arrow</strong> supporter Greg Dicker claimed a great win in the over 40’sclass in what was a highly entertaining final on the last day of competition.<strong>Arrow</strong> driver Lewis Southerland enjoyed a stellar event winning both the JuniorNational Heavy and Junior Clubman finals. In the final of the Junior National Heavyclass Southerland was joined on the podium by fellow <strong>Arrow</strong> drivers Shane Innesand Daniel Chandler, completing another <strong>Arrow</strong> trifecta on the final podium. In theJunior Clubman final <strong>Arrow</strong> driver Jake Dudley finished 3 rd respectively in what wasa great race by the talented steerer.Not to be outdone <strong>Arrow</strong> driver BD Soutar-Dawson also claimed two West AustralianState Championships after stamping his authority in both the Clubman Light andLeopard Light finals. Soutar-Dawson battled hard to finish ahead of <strong>Arrow</strong> comradeBryce Moore, who finished second respectively, in the Clubman Light final and blitzedthe field in the final of the Leopard Light class. <strong>Arrow</strong>’s success in the Leopardclasses continued with a strong showing by <strong>Arrow</strong> drivers Jarrod Bishop and PavanKandola adding to the Leopard success with a top two finish in the Leopard Heavyfinal.Photo courtesy of: www.chief-racing.comA third <strong>Arrow</strong> trifecta for the Championships was achieved in the final of the Rookiesclass, with <strong>Arrow</strong> drivers Jesse Elliott, Jake Klarich and Jason Lecocq occupying thefirst three positions on the podium in what was a highly skillful display of driving.<strong>Arrow</strong> enjoyed a clean sweep of the Senior National Classes with dominant wins inboth Light and Heavy divisions. Rhys Watt cleared the field in the Senior NationalLight final to finish strongly and occupy top spot on the podium. <strong>Arrow</strong> driversShannon Pearce and Tim White claimed the first two podium positions in the final ofthe Senior National Heavy class.


The Junior National class again proved successful for <strong>Arrow</strong> Racing <strong>Karts</strong> with<strong>Arrow</strong> driver Adam Marjoram claiming first place in the final of the Junior NationalLight class, just ahead of <strong>Arrow</strong> companion Brendon Hope in third placerespectively.
