Fall Fundraiser to Support Auditorium UpgradesSchool fundraising is an essential part of a privateschool’s success. Often times, money raised byfundraisers is targeted for a need which the budgetcan’t otherwise support. In an effort to consolidatefundraising efforts for the school, we will be runninga more organized program this year. Our goal SB is toraise the money needed for upgrades to the auditorium. The auditorium is used for all-school liturgies, honorsociety inductions, awards ceremonies, plays, musicalproductions, concerts, and more. Its usefulness is onlySTM families. These books sell for $35 and STM receivesa portion of the sale price. The more books we sell, thegreater the benefit. For example, if we sell 350 books, wewill make $4,084.50 ($11.67 per book) and if we sell500 books, we will make $6,125.00 ($12.25 per book). The profit per book continues to rise until we reach 1,000books where profits are $17.50 per book.3. Pocket Peelers – This fundraiser is new to STM.Pocket Peelers are wallet-sized, laminated cards that havecoupon tear-offs inside. They sell for $10 and STM wouldreceive $5 for each Pocket Peeler sold. They offer “buyone, get one free” deals from Subway, Dairy Queen,Ace Hardware, IHOP and many other businesses.4. Buy-out – This option is available for families if theyare unable to sell any of the above mentioned fundraisingitems but want to help us reach our goal of upgrading theAuditorium.All-School Liturgy in the School Auditorium.limited by the lack of updated equipment. This fundraiserwill provide for a new sound system and stage lighting. While those two goals may seem lofty, they are truly“doable” with the support of all STM families.Families have four options for participation:1. QSP Magazine Sale – Over the years, manyfamily members have renewed their current subscriptionsor purchased magazines in support of STM. The sale isstraightforward and STM receives 50% of the purchaseprice for each magazine sold or subscription renewalmade. People can choose to place their order on the QSPwebsite using our school ID or on paper order forms thatwe make available.2. Entertainment Book Sale – This sale has been ledby the Fine Arts Department for many years. This year, weare making Entertainment Books available for sale by allTo support STM in this effort, we have asked each familyto generate $50 in profit. This amount could be reachedby selecting one of the options or all of them. By selling$100 worth of magazines, 5 Entertainment Books or 10Pocket Peelers, the challenge would be complete. Thisis not a required fundraiser, but we are asking familiesto do what they can. We will be doing all that we canto inspire your student to participate through classroomcontests and individual challenges. As in the past, prizeswill be offered to the students who sell the most, and theclassroom with the greatest participation will have lunchcooked for them in the Community Room by Dr. MarkJoerres, Mr. Joseph Heinecke, and Dr. Bob Teske. The students who sell the most will receive their prizes atour Pep Rally on Friday, October 7. It is our hope that allfamilies participate in this fundraiser so that the upgradesto the Auditorium can be completed right away.
