The CMN-designed patrolboat combines speed with excellentrange capabilities. With its trimaranhull made from composite materialsinstead of aluminium, it is strongas well as lightweight, and ballisticprotection is available as an option.The trimaran design offers excellentseakeeping and stability, while theextra width provides ample spacefor a 300kg UAV, enhancing thevessel’s surveillance capability atoptimum cost.The Ocean Eagle 43 is designedfor reduced crewing, and canperform a wide variety of littoral andoffshore missions, including antipiracy,counter-terrorism, traffickinginterdiction, intelligence gathering,special operations support and search& rescue, with at-sea endurance of upto one week. In addition to weaponsoptions that include a remotecontrolled30mm cannon and machineguns for an all-round firing capability,the patrol vessel can also deploy a 9mRHIB from a ramp at the stern of thecentral hull section.The Ocean Eagle 43 is designedto carry a comprehensive array ofelectronic systems and equipment,including navigation and surveillanceradars, an electro-optical sensor, andan electronic warfare suite with aCOMINT capability. In addition, images,videos and tactical information can betransmitted to a shore station or otherships via satellite link. All the electronicequipment interfaces with the combatsystem and an integrated navigationsystem. Communication and weaponsystems as well as the sensor suiteare managed from consoles onthe bridge.
