The SR motors/generatorconsist of a simple, virtually, indestructiblelaminated stack, iron rotor without copperwindings to fail due to over-speed oroverheating and features simple DC statorfield coils. SR drive eliminates thoseconcerns and limits motor maintenanceto replacing two bearings on the motorsand one bearing on the generator aboutevery 20,000 to 30,000 hours, greatlyreducing scheduled maintenance anddown time.SR DriveStandard equipment on all Generation2 wheel loaders, the proven SR drivetechnology delivers a high level ofperformance and reliability.
