The Sacrament of Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is normally celebrated on the
second Sunday of each month. A Parent Preparation Program
is required for first time parents. New parents
should register for the Baptism as soon as possible after

A message from our Pastor:
Dear Parishioners,
On behalf of the entire staff I wish a very Happy
Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers and greatgrandmothers
of the parish. I pray that God will shower
His choicest blessings upon all those women who have
made, and continue to make, such great sacrifices for
their families.
The month of May is traditionally dedicated to the
Blessed Mother and there are many beautiful ways that
she can be remembered as we journey through the next
few weeks.
This morning we end the 9:00 Mass with the
traditional crowning of Mary and we cordially invite all
parishioners to attend, especially our children who have
been celebrating First Communion. The rosary is
prayed every morning throughout the year after the 8:30
Mass in church, again, all are invited. If you cannot
join us in church, why not try praying this very
powerful prayer at home? If you have forgotten how to
pray the rosary, please ask one of the priests or anyone
involved in the school or religious education program.
We would all be very happy to help you rediscover this
wonderful devotion.
Finally, thank you to all who gave such positive
responses to last week’s talk concerning the pews. If
you were at the 5:30 mass you did not hear this because
of First Communion. I did not want to ruin the
children’s happy day by having to speak about this, but
I’m sure that by now you have all heard what is going
on. Obviously, the work has already started, and again,
they promise as little inconvenience as possible. I also
remind you that contributions to help defray the
$128,900 cost of this project will be gratefully accepted.
Should you be in a position to help, simply put your gift
into an envelope, write your name and the words “pew
fund” or something similar on it, and drop the envelope
into any collection between now and the end of
November. We will try to keep a running total of
contributions here in the bulletin as we go along. As
always, if you have any questions or comments, I am
always available to you.

talent At CYO. Our cupcake Coffee
House was a huge success thanks to
the talents of: Diana Amorosa, Jessie Dragone, Jimmy
Ellmer, Michael Filipe, Michael Figueiredo, Jimmy
Lee, Althea Nava, Gina Petro, Charlene Puertolano,
Noelle Staudt, Nicole Tababa, Nicole Vendola, &
Michael Zuena who all performed for us. Special
thanks also to Dena Manderichio who ran the
refreshment and all who baked cupcakes!
All profits from the fundraiser went to Bike and Build,
an organization that helps build affordable Housing for
the poor.

gradual process that takes place within the community
of the faithful.” The length of time of the process varies
according to individual need, experience, readiness

Religious Education Re-Registration
Registration will begin for the 2012 – 2013 Religious
Education Program on May 14, 2012. Please send or

If you need to register a child going into the first
grade or have recently moved into the area, now is
the time to register for the 2012-2013 Religious
Education Program. New Registrations will be
accepted this Monday, May 14, 2012 in the Parish
Hall from 7:00-8:00pm or please stop by the office
to fill out the necessary materials. Please bring a
copy of the child’s Baptismal Certificate when

Any boy or girl, 4th grade or older, who is interested in
becoming an Altar Server may sign up for Altar Server

Attention Rosarians: A thank you to all the Rosarians

Spring Trip to the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse on May
5th . Your attendance made our trip a great success.
