MEMORIALS FOR THE WEEK

ALTAR BREAD; SACRIFICIAL WINE: In

SANCTUARY LAMP: In memory of Pat Arace

and Family req. by Ann Arace

A message from our Pastor:

Dear Parishioners,

On behalf of the entire staff I wish a very Happy

Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers and greatgrandmothers

of the parish. I pray that God will shower

His choicest blessings upon all those women who have

made, and continue to make, such great sacrifices for

their families.

The month of May is traditionally dedicated to the

Blessed Mother and there are many beautiful ways that

she can be remembered as we journey through the next

few weeks.

This morning we end the 9:00 Mass with the

traditional crowning of Mary and we cordially invite all

parishioners to attend, especially our children who have

been celebrating First Communion. The rosary is

prayed every morning throughout the year after the 8:30

Mass in church, again, all are invited. If you cannot

join us in church, why not try praying this very

powerful prayer at home? If you have forgotten how to

pray the rosary, please ask one of the priests or anyone

involved in the school or religious education program.

We would all be very happy to help you rediscover this

wonderful devotion.

Finally, thank you to all who gave such positive

responses to last week’s talk concerning the pews. If

you were at the 5:30 mass you did not hear this because

of First Communion. I did not want to ruin the

children’s happy day by having to speak about this, but

I’m sure that by now you have all heard what is going

on. Obviously, the work has already started, and again,

they promise as little inconvenience as possible. I also

remind you that contributions to help defray the

$128,900 cost of this project will be gratefully accepted.

Should you be in a position to help, simply put your gift

into an envelope, write your name and the words “pew

fund” or something similar on it, and drop the envelope

into any collection between now and the end of

November. We will try to keep a running total of

contributions here in the bulletin as we go along. As

always, if you have any questions or comments, I am

always available to you.

Fr. Armand

School News

*Holy Spirit School wishes all our Moms

a Blessed & Happy Mother’s Day!*

Along with the Labels for Education and Box Top$ for

Education programs, Holy Spirit School also participates in

an additional fundraiser from Tyson products. Clipping these

labels is a great way to get FREE merchandise for Holy Spirit

School! Many companies now participate in these

programs, so by saving the labels with the UPC bar code, and

clipping the Box Tops for Education symbol and Tyson

labels from these products, you are helping Holy Spirit

School! Collection boxes for these labels are located on the

tables inside the entrances of our Church and School.

We thank you for your support!!!

Attention All Parents & Parishioners:

Don’t throw away that empty inkjet

cartridge!

Send it to EMPTIES4CASH!

Empty inkjet cartridges can be recycled and remanufactured.

Our school will receive $4.00 for each cartridge turned in.

This will directly benefit our school, the students, and even the

environment. You can help! Any ink cartridges with a print

head can be recycled regardless of brand or type. Please bring

all cartridges to a designated cartridge box located in front of

the Computer classroom in the Parish Hall. Thank you for

your support!
