An applicant who has been accepted to studies and has not yet received the
Mechina Diploma, will be conditionally accepted until he receives confirmation of his
eligibility for the certification.
A student who is conditionally accepted is not eligible for scholarships.
Acceptance based on an Associate Engineering Degree or Previous
Academic Studies
An Associate Engineer with a diploma or a letter attesting to his eligibility for
a degree from a recognized school for Associate Engineers, and whose average
grades from the government administered exams, including the final project grade,
is 75 or higher, can apply to upgrade to an academic degree. With a grade average
below 75, the applicant must provide the score of a Psychometric, TIL or SAT Exam.
The Acceptance Committee and/or Department Chairman will then determine
acceptance.
An Associate Engineer accepted to upgrade to an academic degree will receive credits
based on his earlier studies upon approval by the Department Chairman.
A graduate of an Associate Engineering school who states that he will be able to
present confirmation of his eligibility for a diploma by the end of the first semester can
receive conditional acceptance based on the above. Alternatively, he can be accepted
on the basis of the Psychometric, TIL or SAT Exam and Bagrut grades. If by the end of
the first semester the student does not submit his Diploma, all the credits the student
received will be cancelled and the continuation of studies will be considered anew.
An applicant with prior full or partial academic studies will be exempt from
the Psychometric, TIL or SAT Exam. The applicant must present an authorized report
of his grades for at least 4 semesters together with his diploma if he has one and his
course average must be 75 or higher. Upon acceptance, the new student can apply to
the Department Chairman of his chosen major to receive exemptions and/or credits
for courses already studied, provided that the course is similar in content to the studies
at JCT and the student earned a minimum grade of 75 in each course. To receive the
exemption, the student must bring an authorized report of grades and the syllabus for
each course.
All requests for credit and/or exemptions from courses must be submitted to the
Department Chair by the beginning of the fall semester.
It is the student’s responsibility to verify with the Registrars office that credits and/
or exemptions granted by the Department Chair are credited.

Photocopy of the applicant’s Teudat Zehut. Tourists should include a copy of their
passport. New immigrants should include a copy of their Teudat Oleh.
