The Lord Jesus Christ walked towards the enemy in power andcourage, and we walk by His side saying, "Thine is the Power, the Glory, the Blessing and the Honour, forever Amen. "The Lord had the power to put away death, but He was contentin accepting it.. “to give His life a ransom for many" (Mark.10:45).He was Powerful While being Arrested:✥ The Lord Christ powerful when He was arrested, whilethe soldiers who came with sticks and swords were afraid ofHim. St. John the Beloved who followed the Lord till theCrucifixion, explained this situation saying, "Jesus therefore, knowing all things that would come upon Him, went forwardand said to them, "Whom are you seeking? They answeredHim, "Jesus of Nazareth." Jesus said to them, "I am He." AndJudas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them. Now when Hesaid to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to theground." (John. 18:4-6).The Lord's enemies fell, to the ground and could not faceHis unarmed power which was more effective than theirarmed attack. Jesus could have gone away at that time, butinstead he remained calm and brave. When they stood up, once more He asked them, "Whom do youseek? And they said, "Jesus of Nazareth". Jesus answered, "Ihave told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let thesego their way" (John. 18:7-9).26
