McDonald’s,Chick-fil-a, Taco Bueno, Taco Bell, and many other fast food resturauntsare available as an easy, very affordable dinner choice found on almostevery street.Sake sushi:quantity meets qualityAs far as sushi restaurants go, so far there has never been one thatgives you good sushi in large quantities that won’t cost more than tenbucks. This, however, has been changed recently with the developmentof Sake, a new Japanese joint on 71st and Memorial.With a bar, multiple booths and many tables complimentedsurprisingly cozy chairs, the restaurant is large and welcoming. Basicsushi is priced extremely low and are seriously delicious. A fullcalifornia roll is priced at four dollars. To get a good portioned size oftasty fried rice, it’s an extremely minimal price of two dollars. Everymeal comes with a free bowl of miso soup. Altogether, these items aremore than enough to fill anyone up and comes to a bill of six dollars.With cheap basic sushi, the signature rolls cost a bit more.<strong>The</strong>ir taste and sauces, however, make it worth every penny. One ofthe more impressive roles is the yum yum, an artfully crafted bit ofsushi with impressive ingredients and a great taste.<strong>The</strong> restaurant also serves delicious Japanese food as well,everything from tempura to signature dishes from the Asian island.<strong>The</strong>ir teriyaki is sincerely succulent and all the vegetables used tastefresh. Almost all of the online reviews have been positive. Althoughprices are low, quality is not. So far there have been no recorded issueswith food poisoning or sickness from the sushi restaurant. Althoughthe place could be an instant hit if they got advertising out, it hasn’tseemed to happen yet. Because of this, every time the regulars visitthere are very few new customers in the place. Though these components ofOctober are wonderful, one of the best attributes of October is the annual homecomingfootball game and dance.<strong>The</strong> school hosts a homecoming football game that features the best-choice homecomingcourt with spectacular young women in their most magnificent looking dresses.Following the homecoming football game is the homecoming dance. Of all the attributesand components of homecoming, one question is most important, “what’s for dinner?”Homecoming groups could choose an easy cheap fast food dine, a high-class expensiveAsian grill, or something in-between. <strong>The</strong>re is a wide variety of dining choices. Someof the most popular restaurant choices include Shogun, on 71st and Memorial, and Osaka,at 81st and Garnette, that are high-class Asian grills that serve a multi-course meal to eachcustomer and cook the food right before your eyes in an artistic culinary form. Olive Garden,on 71st and Memorial, and Zios, located on 81st and Lewis and 91st and Memorial,are italian based restaurantsJJ’s Gourmet serves excellenceFor four days a weekand two hours a day, JJ’sGourmet Burgers is opento please customers with itspotent concoctions.It is not hard to makea selection for the maincourse, considering thatthe only option is burgers.Along with that comes aside of your choice includinga bag of ruffle chips,baked beans. slaw and potatosalad.<strong>The</strong> main course isa juicy slab of steakslapped betweenhamburger buns,forming a deliciousburger.Rachel CampbellEditor-in-chief<strong>The</strong>re is also a membersprogram available for morefrequent visitors to JJ’s.<strong>The</strong> rewards for this includealong with your meal a sophisticatedappetizer, suchas a shrimp cocktail, anda dessert of espresso anda pecan covered chocolatebrownie. Despite the lack offries, JJ’s provides a mouthwateringly exquisite meal(at a slightly high price of$20 to $25).An appetizer ofshrimp cocktailand an ornatedisplay of teastart out themeal at JJ’s.Coffe and a richbrownie make theperfect finish to aclimactic meal.
