Jumper isconsists of two or three metal pins with a plastic base mountedon the card, and by using a small plastic "cap", Also known asthe jumper cap (with a metal contact inside), you are able toconnect the pins. So you can set-up your hardwareconfiguration by "open" or "close" pins.The jumper can be combined into sets that called jumperblocks. When the jumpers are all in the block, you have to putthem together to set up the hardware configuration. The figurebelow shows how this looks like.JUMPERS AND CAPSIf a jumper has three pins (for examples, labelled PIN1, PIN2,and PIN3), You can connect PIN1 & PIN2 to create one settingand shorting. You can either connect PIN2 & PIN3 to createanother setting. The same jumper diagrams are applied allthrough this manual. One codeindicates that a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannotinitialize the video screen to display any additional information.This beep code consists of a single long beep followed by twoshort beeps. This beep code consists of a single long beeprepeatedly.CMOS Battery Has Failed:This message informs you that the CMOS battery is nolonger functional. The user should replace it.CMOS CHECKSUM ERROR:This message informs you that the CMOS is incorrect. Thiserror may have caused by a weak battery.
