General InformationCourse CostThe fee stated for each course is the registrationfee only unless otherwise indicated. Text ormaterials fees will be paid to the instructor onthe first night of class or purchased in the DCCBookstore.Registration AcknowledgmentEach registrant will receive a receipt andschedule which includes the time and locationof the course(s). The College may cancel anycourse that lacks sufficient enrollment to coverexpenses. When the decision is made to cancela course (usually one week before the first classmeeting), cancellation notices will be sent toall registrants. You can help assure a course willrun by registering at least two weeks beforethe starting date. Please note class receipts aresometimes delayed and may arrive after the startof class. For start date, check your non-creditbrochure or call us at 431-8910.You may alsocheck online at www.sunydutchess.edu/cfweb.For room assignments check online on or afterthe Friday before your course begins or call theOffice of Community Services.Tuition Refund PolicyRefunds for withdrawal from non-credit coursesand seminars will be given if requested prior tothe end of the business day preceding the daythe course starts. If a refund request is approvedfor a course, a $5 processing fee will be deductedfrom the refund. Full refunds will be given for allcourses that are cancelled by the College.Books and SuppliesPlease read the course description. If there is arequirement to purchase books and/or supplies inaddition to the tuition charge, it will be noted inthe course description. Book and supply pricesare subject to change without notice pendingnotification or price changes from vendor.Directory Information/Releaseof Information:Personally identifiable information is not givenout without the student’s written authorizationunless it is directory information. Directoryinformation consists of name, e-mail, dates ofattendance, and enrollment status. If a studentdoes not wish directory information released, he/she must submit a written request to the Officeof the Registrar before the beginning of eachsemester.Senior Citizen Tuition PolicyIndividuals 65 or older may register for a noncreditcourse for half of the published tuition. Apicture ID with your birth date must be presentedat the time of the first registration in our office,Bowne Hall, Room 118, Monday through Thursday9 a.m. - 8 p.m. or Fridays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If youprefer you may fax a copy of the picture ID withyour registration. Thereafter, you may register bymail, fax, or phone at ½ price.NOTE: SENIOR CITIZEN TUITION PROGRAMCANNOT BE USED FOR DDP, PRIVATE MUSICLESSONS, ONLINE OR OTHER ONE-ON-ONECOURSES.
