drogas. Por outro lado dispõem de alimentação diária com pequeno-almoço,almoço e jantar. O estágio no centro proporcionou um contacto permanente edirecto com as crianças, conhecendo as suas situações familiares através desessões de conversas que mantinha com elas e de visitas domiciliárias aosfamiliares. Pode-se constatar que são crianças oriundas de famíliasdesestruturadas, com problemas de alcoolismo, de desemprego, de precáriascondições habitacionais, enfim, em situações de miséria extrema. Nas visitas, osfamiliares sempre demonstraram descontentamento por os filhos e ou netos, poisalgumas deles viviam com avós, estarem na rua, alguns querendo o regressodos mesmos para o seio da família. É de realçar que ainda três crianças voltarampara casa, mas regressaram de novo ao centro alegando incompatibilidadescom os pais e ou familiares como tios e avós. Em relação ao centro constatou-seao longo do estágio, um certo dinamismo e mudanças de comportamento porparte das crianças, tornando-se mais sociáveis e menos conflituosas.Observações feitas no terreno, revelaram que essas crianças continuam com aconotação negativa por parte da população, estigmatizando-as de “piratinhas”que estão no centro onde têm dormida e comida, mas continuando sendodelinquentes. Para corroborar o sentimento da população, de facto essascrianças continuam andando pelas ruas como autênticos mendigos pedindodinheiro às pessoas. Em relação a esta situação pode-se combatê-la com umapolítica mais forte de normas dentro do centro, criando mais actividades nosentido de diminuir a permanência das crianças nas ruas de Mindelo. Aorientação pedagógica e profissional, poderá ser fundamental para umareinserção social plena nas suas famílias e na sociedade mindelense. Por outrolado acções junto das famílias, fazendo-lhes assumir as suas responsabilidadesenquanto primeiro agente educador, poderão dar os seus frutos. Tem-se quechamar a família para fazer a aproximação a essas crianças. Por outro lado,constatou-se que 90% das famílias, vivem em situações habitacionais subhumanas,aqui poder-se-ia englobá-las no projecto de atribuição de habitaçãosocial, possibilitando o acesso a habitação condigna. Essas foram algumassugestões deixadas na Câmara Municipal de São Vicente que seguidas poderãocontribuir para a integração e ou reinserção das crianças nas respectivas famíliasde origem.Breves reflexões sobre as questões mais pertinentesO estágio curricular constitui uma etapa importante no percurso académico dequalquer discente. É neste momento que o aluno coloca em prática todos ossaberes adquiridos ao longo da sua vida académica. Por outro lado, constituiuma oportunidade única de ter uma relação mais próxima com o mundo dotrabalho, proporcionando muitas vezes que o aluno – estagiário seja logocontratado pela entidade acolhedora.
