Theseinstitutions have committed to provide the necessary infrastructure to support TFRI sponsoredprojects and, where possible, to facilitate putting into practice validated outcomes from thetranslational research projects. The TFRI headquarters is based in Vancouver and nodes havebeen established initially in Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia, where leading cancerresearchers and clinicians have been appointed to co-ordinate each node. Details of this structurecan be found at www.tfri.ca. As TFRI grows it will launch nodes in the Prairie and Atlantic provincesand eventually internationally. Over the next five years, the TFRI aims to make a significantcontribution to improve the patient care and control of cancer within the Canadian population.Institutions will be recruited in all four Atlantic provinces, as well as Manitoba and Saskatchewan.tfri.ca1 Canadian Partnership Against Cancer Corporation2 The Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre3 Hopital Laval, Quebec City4 The McGill Cancer Centre5 The McGill University Health Centre6 The Segal Cancer Centre at theJewish General Hospital7 McGill University8 l’Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal9 Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal10 Hamilton Health Sciences Centre11 Juravinksi Cancer Centre12 Ottawa Health Research Institute13 Ontario Institute of Cancer Research14 Ontario Cancer Institute15 The University Health Network16 The Mount Sinai Hospital17 The Hospital for Sick Children18 The University of Toronto19 McMaster University20 University of Calgary21 Foothills Hospital Calgary22 The Alberta Cancer Board23 The Cross Cancer Institute24 The Tom Baker Cancer Centre25 St Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver26 Vancouver General Hospital27 The British Columbia Cancer Agency28 The Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute29 The University of British ColumbiaLaunch of the Terry Fox Research Institute2527282629232220212438 712 45 617 14 91 15 1816 131911 102canadian partnership against cancer corporationbritish columbia cancer agency•vancouver coastal healtinstitute•university of british columbia•alberta canceinstitute•tom baker cancer centre•ontario cancer research ihealth network•mount sinai hospital•hospital for sick childrof toronto•mcmaster university•mcgill cancer centre•mcgill uhealth centre•segal cancer centre at the jewish general hospuniversity•l’institut de recherches cliniques de montréal•cenl’université de mo ntréal•st paul’s hospital, vancouvvancouver general hospital•universityfoothills hospital calgary•ontario inscenter, hamilton health scieottawa heacity•qei
