They also signed aMemorandum <strong>of</strong> Agreement.School principal HenriettaManagbanag said Gaisano has beenconsiderate on their request afterthe school’s only computer unit wasstolen two months ago.Managbanag together with thebarangay <strong>of</strong>ficials promised to takecare <strong>of</strong> the items and to handle themwith care. Mayor Eric Codilla, whowitnessed the turnover, said thecomputers must serve its purpose,urged the school to use and not putthe items on display. W h i l eSol Lumarda, <strong>Ormoc</strong> city SchoolsDivision Superintendent acceptedthe mayor’s challenge to provethe computers’ use by giving goodacademic results. Lumarda stressedthat these computers will have itslessons’ s<strong>of</strong>tware be installed.On the other hand, MayorCodilla thanked Gaisano for puttingABES School Principal Henrietta Tito Managbanag receives the signed MOA from Gaisano RiversideOperations Manager Mr. Alfie Adlawan.up another branch in the city thatopened last October, 2010, whichnow serves the barangay’s newlandmark.The school has a population <strong>of</strong>240 pupils including kindergartenand has been operating since 1959.It is located just across the newGaisano branch in <strong>Ormoc</strong> - GaisanoRiverside Mall in barangay Alegria,which people fondly call “MOA” orMall <strong>of</strong> Alegria.Gaisano Adopts ABES from p. 1tasting lechon is located. He said that he made a move toeliminate this by asking the tricycleorganizations to stop this practice.Alfie Adlawan, operationsmanager <strong>of</strong> Gaisano Riverside Mallsaid that he is committed to AlegriaBatuan Elementary CommunitySchool headed by Henrietta TitoManagbanag and to all teacherswho help to establish and maintainthe highest level <strong>of</strong> the school withconfidence and loyalty. He saidthat he is personally committedto follow the standard set by theAlegria-Batuan Elementary and hewill conduct the activities with thefoundation and would not advancehis own interest or the privateinterest <strong>of</strong> others with whom hehas a relationship in a way thatis detrimental to the interest <strong>of</strong>the fundamental vision <strong>of</strong> theHenry- Francisca Valeria GaisanoFoundation. He added that in everyinstance that he would representthe foundation he would conductactivities in a manner to the bestinterest <strong>of</strong> Gaisano foundation andthe ABES.School Principal HenriettaTito Managbanag was thankfulfor the support <strong>of</strong> Gaisano to theirschool. She said that after themall was completed last year theywere given materials that wereused in the school for differentcarpentry chores. She added thatthe company also gave them anelectric fan last year that they stilluse today.Managbanag continued thatshe was so thankful to Gaisano forgiving them the three sets <strong>of</strong> highend computers which amounted tomore than P100, 000 because thiswould give way to some pupils inthe school to learn the basics <strong>of</strong>computer operation.Among those who attendedthe turnover were DepEd SDSSol Lumarda, Asst.
