In <strong>the</strong> previousstudy a much larger share (20 %) <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> projects lasted for more than five years compared to<strong>the</strong> present study (4 %). On <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r hand, more <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2009-projects have duration <strong>of</strong>between one and three years.Project fund<strong>in</strong>gIn order to assess <strong>the</strong> development <strong>in</strong> fund<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> urban forestry projects <strong>the</strong> data from <strong>the</strong> twosurveys is compared <strong>in</strong> Figure 4.6.The comparison <strong>in</strong> Figure 4.6 shows a significant alteration <strong>in</strong> budget sizes <strong>of</strong> urban forestryresearch projects. Many more projects (54 %) <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> 2009-survey have a budget <strong>of</strong> 100,000 to500,000 EUR than <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> prior study (24 %). Additionally <strong>the</strong>re has been a decrease <strong>in</strong> share<strong>of</strong> projects under 50,000 EUR, whereas almost <strong>the</strong> same share <strong>of</strong> projects has funds <strong>of</strong> morethan 500,000 EUR.17
