In 1959, Liberia became a founding member of theInternational Maritime Organization and has worked diligently to promote maritimesafety, security and environmental protection.Since its inception, the Liberian Registry has been operated from the UnitedStates. Thedocumentation required for registering a vessel is available onthe Liberian Registry’s website (www.liscr.com). The annualtonnage tax and fees can be calculated with the Registry’sonline tonnage calculator.MARINE SAFETYsafety@liscr.comVessel safety is a top priority. The Registry’s maritime expertsare accessible to clients worldwide, 24 hours a day – 7 days aweek, and provide rapid response to emergency situationsaffecting crew, ship or cargo. Liberia’s manning requirements areevaluated on an individual basis.
