Surgeon Background and TrainingMr James Lewis FRCS (Tr & Orth) MSc (Distinction)James grew up in Emsworth, near Chichester and was educated at PortsmouthGrammar School.His medical training was at Guys’ Hospital Medical School, London and hegraduated in 1991 and all surgical exams at the Royal College of Surgeons (England)were passed on first sitting.James went on to undertake his orthopaedic training at Norwich, Harlow, The RoyalLondon, The Royal National Orthopaedic and Great Ormond Street Hospitals.To further enhance his understanding of orthopaedic surgery, he undertook apostgraduate degree and was awarded a distinction in Masters of Science inOrthopaedic Engineering.James was appointed as Joint <strong>Replacement</strong> Fellow at the Nuffield OrthopaedicHospital, Oxford.He has also had fellowship training in Brisbane and Sydney, Australia and in Boston,USA.
