It offers the RS530 and HSSIinterfaces along with a 2-port10/100BaseT Ethernet router. It enables<strong>Advantech</strong> AMT modems to beconnected directly to local area networkswithout the need for expensive standalonerouters.The heart of the <strong>Ultra</strong> <strong>IP</strong> <strong>Gateway</strong> is theextremely flexible CommunicationProcessor, which provides a wide rangeof routing and traffic control servicesbetween the interfaces. The interfacecard can route up to 92Mbps of bidirectionalEthernet data, and in TDMmultiplex can include the RS530 andHSSI data in the same satellite stream.This allows the use of the full 140Mbpscapability of the AMT-7X modems in asingle data transmission stream..The provision of the standard features andavailability of the unique capabilities likeNAT in the unidirectional links, <strong>IP</strong> policycontrol provide a variety of communicationsolutions.Provision of multiple networking serviceslike DHCP, R<strong>IP</strong>, NAT/PAT and AAA makesintegration into existing networks withdifferent topologies mach more easier.Quality of Service (QoS) features ensurethat control and priority is available on the<strong>IP</strong> and Frame Relay (FR) traffic.The FR function has a Local ManagementInterface complying with ITU-TQ.933/Annex A and ANSI T1.617 /AnnexD; Multi-protocol Encapsulation (RFC1490: <strong>IP</strong> over FR), Frame Relay Switchingand Frame Relay Fragmentation: FRF12(UNI, End to End).To assist in integration into networksnumerous standard built in diagnostic toolsare provided.The card can also be used in ademodulator only high-speed <strong>IP</strong> receiver.www.<strong>Advantech</strong>AMT.com
