ALUMNI UPDATESDaniel Allen, Terrain and WaterResources Technician ‘95After leaving SGS Geosol in 2003, Itaught English as a second language forseveral years until a good friend had theconfidence in me to entrust her client’stranslation contracts to me. In 2006,I began my own unofficial translationcompany, PTS – Precision TranslationServices. From 2009 to present, we grewso rapidly that I quit teaching and begantranslating full time, often contractingother freelancers when the workloadbecame too much to handle. In Marchof 2012, we became legitimate andregistered our company in Brazil. 2012marked our most successful year to date,increasing sales by 75% and employingmore people than ever. I am currently65% owner with a Brazilian/Americanpartner.
