Page22Youth/High School Athletic LeaguesGENERAL INFO• Volunteer Coaches – The Park District relies onvolunteers to coach teams in the high school and youthrecreational leagues. Experienced coach or new to thegame, we’d love to have you be part of the team. Ifinterested in volunteering your time to the community asa coach, please complete a volunteer application at theAdministrative Office. Youth coaches must sign a liabilitywaiver, complete a successful background check, andparticipate in a coaching education class before beingallowed to coach a team.• Evaluations - All youth players, new and returning, mustattend the scheduled evaluation date for each league.Returning high school players are not required to attendevaluations.PLAYERS’ CODE OF CONDUCTBefore signing up your child, please note that all participants(players) are expected to abide by the following behavioralguidelines:• Respect all participants, officials, Park District staff,and spectators. Lead the way in creating a positive,recreational atmosphere.• Avoid the use of foul and/or inappropriate language. Setpositive examples for the community.• Refrain from inflicting bodily harm on participants,officials, Park District staff, and spectators. Play to haveFUN.• Respect all equipment, supplies, and facilities providedby Mokena Community Park District.HIGH SCHOOL 2 V 2 BEACH VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE14’s, 15’s, AND 16’sLeague offers High School age boys and girls, ages 14-16, anopportunity to play sand volleyball and be a part of a team. Boysand girls play in separate divisions. Each team is guaranteed toplay 8 matches, and each night teams will play a double-header. Allteams qualify for single-elimination playoff at season’s end. Teamrosters must consist of a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of4 players, and each team must have a parent or guardian presentfor all matches.
