Theproduct does notcontain metal particles and ischloride-free. Betonfix TX providesexcellent adhesion to the substrate.Betonfix TX must be used for patchlayers of not more than 3 cm: forgreater thicknesses, use Betonfix TXGG, Betonfix FB, Betonfix RCA orBetonfix CR. Betonfix TX meets theprinciples set out in EN 1504-9("Products and systems for theprotection and repair of concrete structures: definitions,requirements, quality control and conformity assessment. Generalprinciples for the use of products and systems") and is marked as anR3 structural mortar along the EN 1504-3 ("Structural and nonstructural repair").UsesBetonfix TX is used to restore deteriorated reinforced concretestructures such as balconies, cornices, pillars, beams, roadworksand railways.It is also used for fast restoration of deteriorated concrete parts suchas fl oorings, pipework edges, etc. Its fine texture and quickhardening enable easy application, fast finishing and rapid re-useof the structure.ApplicationCarefully remove the deteriorated and flaky concrete using ahammer until the substrate is compact.Where metal reinforcements are visible, remove any adjoiningconcrete with a needle gun, water sand the entire surface andprotect the metal reinforcements with Betonfix KIMIFER, applied bybrush.Betonfix TX must be mixed with drinking water. Prepare the quantityof Betonfix TX that will be used within 15 minutes after mixing. Thesubstrate must be wet carefully, eliminating any pools of water. Soakthe substrate with a brushed coat of Betonfix KIMIFER and, while stillwet, apply the mortar with a trowel.Once work is completed, keep the repaired surface damp. It isimportant not to remix the product when it has already started toset: it will lose all its chemical and physical properties.
