For many years the Seventh-day Adventist youth inPennsylvania were missing something. These youth did nothave a boarding school to attend where they could learn topattern their lives after the image of God. Although strivingto live Christian lives in their own communities, manywere actually following the silhouette of Satan.Under the direction of Elder T.E. Unruh, ConferencePresident from 1948 to 1960, plans were made for ourBlue Mountain Academy. Many dedicated, hard-workingSeventh-day Adventists sacrificed so they could see thereflection of Jesus in their young people's lives.Too often we take for granted the hard work that wentinto building this Christian school where we can now learnto pattern our lives after the greatest image- Jesus Christ.This is why in 1973 we would like to look back and thankall those who helped to make Blue Mountain Academypossible.
