DISSECTING DISTRIBUTION: FROM SELF TO THEATRICAL
SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER AT 2:15PM – CINEWORLD 4 WITH STACEY PARKS
Join Stacey Parks, author of ‘The Insiders Guide To Independent Film
Distribution’ (Focal) and founder of FilmSpecific.com for this introductory
crash course on Distribution. A solid foundation is crucial not only
for navigating the global content marketplace, but also for moving your
career forward as an independent filmmaker. Dissecting Distribution was
designed to provide filmmakers a general overview of the worldwide distribution
landscape and possibilities that exist for their films. Dissecting
Distribution will cover all aspects of worldwide distribution, US distribution
and how to break in, plus UK and international distribution, and alternative
distribution methods.
SPECIAL GUEST: COREY FELDMAN (CLIPS + Q&A)
SATURDAY 11 OCTOBER AT 7:15PM – CINEWORLD 7
Rotten Tomatoes editor and Raindance Juror Joe Utichi presents a special
event with cult icon Corey Feldman. Utilising clips from all the favourites
you once probably owned on VHS, the presentation seeks to examine
what it was like to be one of the most recognised child stars of the 1980s,
and what adventures the actor has been on since his adolescent beginnings.
Plus get a chance to ask what it was like to be a Goonie, if he and
Corey Haim are still buddies, and how it felt returning for the sequel of the
Lost Boys.
CLOSING NIGHT PARTY
SUNDAY 12 OCTOBER AT 9PM – ORCHID 13 COVENTRY STREET, W1
The festival draws to a close with the UK premiere of Hush, the terrifying
debut from Mark Tonderai. Following the screening, calm your nerves
with a few complimentary drinks on us at the aftershow party, sponsored
by Tuaca, again taking place at Orchid. As the final event of the festival,
it’s your last chance to get in some last minute networking, say bye to
your new friends, and enjoy the Raindance atmosphere before it fades for
another year.
