The 105 ft long slopes above thequarry face required a system that would be low maintenanceand stable at 2H:1V. A major site specific challengewas installing an erosion control product on asteep, long slope with a 300 ft drop at the bottom. Theproduct of choice was required to be installed by hand asmachines are not safe on the slope.GEOWEB® SLOPE PROTECTION SOLUTIONAfter evaluating several hard armor systems, the USACEselected Presto Geosystems’ GEOWEB cellular confinementsystem with gravel and concrete infill.
