FOR YOUR INFORMATIONIrel<strong>and</strong>, Liechtenstein, Malta, Netherl<strong>and</strong>s, NewZeal<strong>and</strong>, Norway, South Africa, Spain, Switzerl<strong>and</strong>, theUnited Kingdom, or the United States.• The 10% limit may be exceeded if a school needs tocopy: an entire chapter comprising 20% or less of abook; an entire short story, play, essay, or poem from ananthology; a newspaper, magazine, or journal article; anentry from a reference work; an illustration or photographfrom a publication containing other works; materialto accommodate the perceptually disabled, publishedin Canada; <strong>and</strong> in limited circumstances specified in thelicence, out-of-print books.• Schools may copy a class set, including two copies forthe teacher.• Schools may make as many copies as needed for thepurposes of administration <strong>and</strong> communication withparents.• Schools may make a reasonable number of copies forlibrary use.• A single copy only may be made for an acetate overhead.• The author <strong>and</strong> source must appear on at least onepage of the copies.• There can be no systematic, cumulative copying fromthe same published work beyond the above limits forone course of study or program in one academic year, orover time for retention in files. Moreover, the licencedoes not authorize the copying of: excerpts from morethan three sources, together totalling more than 19pages for inclusion in a course pack that replaces a publishedwork; published work cards, assignment sheets,tests, examination papers, <strong>and</strong> material designed forone-time use (e.g. workbooks <strong>and</strong> activity books);instruction manuals <strong>and</strong> teachers guides; governmentpublications, except for those of the Government ofQuebec; digitally created materials, since CANCOPY isnot able to offer a blanket licence to copy digitally createdmaterials – the licence does allow for some reproduction(but not adaptation) of electronic copies of print materialsunder conditions that mirror those for reproducingprint materials – specifically, digital copies may be madeby word processor, fax or digital copier but only for thepurposes of making a paper copy; <strong>and</strong> print music.Your Personal Loan …Our Personal TouchWinter is over … dreams are in seasonNew Car?
