United Services (Portsmouth) Cricket ClubEmergency ProceduresPOLICE – for Fire dial 999 or 112These instructions do not contradict naval base standing orders. They are designed to beapplied by members of the club who, when faced with an emergency, will not necessarilybe aware of standing orders.In the event of a criminal or anti-social disturbance on club premises, the RPIC should make an initialassessment of the situation and decide what, if any, police assistance may be needed, and arrange for that tobe summoned without delay. The Police in turn may notify the MOD Police to attend.The RPIC must ensure that the Accident/Incident Book held in the attendant’s room is completed and whereappropriate an ECB1 is completed.If a child protection issue is involved, the Club Welfare Officer or Secretary must immediately be advisedby telephone, and ECB1 passed to the Club Welfare Officer as soon as possible.
Queen Alexandra Hospital – A&ESouthwick Hill Road,Cosham, Portsmouth PO6 3LYTel: 023 9228 6000 (main switchboard)The Queen Alexandra Hospital is located just on the hill slopes of Portsdown Hill overlooking Portsmouth.It is conveniently situated for both the M27, A3M.From the WestFollow the M27 and use exit 12 (Cosham).At the traffic lights, follow the road straight ahead (Southampton Road) towards Cosham.Turn left at the 2nd set ot traffic lights.At the Traffic lights take the exit road left into Sevenoaks Road.Take the first turning to the right marked (Cavell Drive).As you enter the hospital grounds, public car parking is the first immediate turning to your left.access to the public car park can then be found to the right (main car park) or straight ahead (overflow car park).Please note that some disabled spaces are provided outside the emergency department and to the rear of the rehabilitation building.From the East Follow the A3M south to Junction 5. At the motorway roundabout take the 3rd exit marked for Drayton/Cosham. Follow this road until you reach the roundabout (Cosham). Proceed straight across into Southampton Road. At the 1st set of traffic lights turn right. At the next traffic lights take the left lane into Sevenoaks Road. Take the 1st turning to your right into Cavell Drive. As you enter the hospital grounds, public car parking is the first immediate turning to your left. access to the public car park can then be found to the right (main car park) or straight ahead (overflow car park).By Public TransportBy BusFor buses and their timetables please contact First Bus. Some buses stop within the hospital grounds and may be displayed on timetables as 'Queen AlexandraHospital' Others stop near the hospital and you should look for stops near 'Cosham' if possible.By TrainThe nearest train station is 'Cosham'. This is approximately 10-15 minutes from Queen Alexandra Hospital however the walk is mostly up a slight gradient and ifyou suffer from any condition where this may affect you we would recommend using a local taxi.
