Alow cost, high-performance device that is easy to install, the <strong>eMAX</strong>-<strong>MR52</strong> provides allthe I/O needed for controlling two doors with auxiliary point control and monitoring.Each unit will interface 2 card readers, 8 general purpose input monitor points and 6control relays to a MAXXESS <strong>eMAX</strong>-EP series intelligent controller.With two-wire RS-485 connectivity, the <strong>eMAX</strong>-<strong>MR52</strong> two reader ports supportmagnetic stripe, Wiegand and RS-485 readers. Keypads and integrated keypad readersare also supported. Hardware interface and card format settings are loaded throughsoftware commands.The inputs and the relays may be assigned to door-related functions or to generalpurpose I/O. The inputs support normally open, normally closed, supervised, and nonsupervisedcircuits. The end–of–line (EOL) resistance values are configurable. When connectedto a MAXXESS <strong>eMAX</strong>-EP intelligent system controller, the <strong>eMAX</strong>-<strong>MR52</strong> passesaccess requests and status change information to the controller, processing data andactivities from selected system devices to other devices in the network. It generatesactions and activities as they transpire independent of the host computer.Even when not connected to an intelligent controller, the <strong>eMAX</strong>-<strong>MR52</strong> is capable oflocally processing access requests based on facility code verification.
