High Performance PlatesNormal PhaseHigh Performance UNIPLATES provide high resolutionseparations in less than five minutes with migration distances aslittle as 5 to 7 cm. These plates are prepared with high efficiencysilica gel having an 8 micron average particle diameter andnarrow particle size distribution. The adsorbent layers are only150 microns thick, resulting in more rapid solvent migration. Theadsorbent capacity is more than adequate for small samples usedin high performance TLC techniques. Typically, sample volumesfor high performance TLC are less than one microliter. Samplespots are normally smaller than one millimeter in diameter.Samples are spotted 1.0 to 1.5 cm from the bottom edge of theplate and 0.3 to 0.5 cm apart.
