下之臣——吊裙草

裙 草 屬 蝶 形 花 科 , 豬 屎 豆 屬 。 在 草地 、 海 濱 和 沙 灘 都 可 找 到 其 蹤 影 。它 是 一 年 生 草 本 植 物 , 整 株 高 度 約 一 米 。葉 呈 倒 披 針 形 。 全 年 都 會 開 花 結 果 , 花 朵細 小 , 只 有 約 三 厘 米 。 花 朵 鮮 黃 色 , 花 瓣的 基 部 還 點 綴 有 紫 紅 色 的 細 紋 。 開 花 時 ,十 至 二 十 多 朵 小 花 會 長 在 同 一 條 花 軸 上 ,加 上 花 朵 本 身 是 鮮 艷 的 黃 色 , 與 綠 葉 形 成強 烈 對 比 , 額 外 搶 眼 !當 吊 裙 草 花 朵 掉 落 , 取 而 代 之 是 一 個 個 圓筒 形 的 莢 果 , 每 條 莢 果 長 約 三 至 四 厘 米 ,外 表 光 滑 , 裡 面 承 載 約 二 十 粒 種 子 。 初 期的 莢 果 , 綠 中 帶 點 棕 紅 , 形 狀 就 像 兩 條 並排 的 香 腸 , 非 常 有 趣 。 成 熟 後 , 整 條 莢 果會 變 得 脹 鼓 鼓 , 顏 色 亦 由 原 來 的 青 綠 變 成深 褐 色 或 黑 色 , 輕 輕 搖 晃 可 以 聽 到 種 子 與莢 殼 撞 擊 的 清 脆 聲 音 。 因 此 , 吊 裙 草 又名 「 r a t t l e w e e d 」 , 意 即 「 咯 咯 作 響 的草 」。 當 曬 乾 的 莢 殼 裂 開 時 , 種 子 就 會 隨地 散 落 , 為 母 株 開 枝 散 葉 。etuse-leaved Crotalaria belongsto the Crotalaria genus of theFabaceae family. When in bloom, one ortwo dozen little flowers grow on the samerachis, the bright yellow contrasting sharplywith the green leaves.When the flowers wither, the plant bearscylindrical, smooth pods with length of3–4cm, with about 20 seeds inside. Thepods are initially green, with little brownishred, and look like two odd little sausages.When mature, they will become swollen andturn dark brown or black.
