The training is conducted at 10 learningfacilities across six cities where 5000 people can be trained on agiven day.JKJKJKACTIVE-MOBILE INTERNET USERS REACH 2 MILLIONThere are about two million users accessing the Internetthrough their mobile phones and other mobile devices on anactive basis in the country. The active users of Internet, accessthe Internet through their mobile devices at least once a month,says a study.According to a joint studyconducted by the IAMAI-IMRB, about 27 percent orclose to 127 million mobileusers have Internet-readymobile devices. But out ofthese, only 9.4 percent or 12million users have accessed theInternet from their mobilephones at least once in last one year. The Internet and MobileAssociation of India (IAMAI) is an industry body working for theonline and mobile value-added services sectors.Adding further, the study says that it comes down to twomillion or 17 percent when it comes to active-users. The reportalso highlights that nearly 70 percent of these users fall into theage group of 18-35 years, which incidentally constitutes themajor chunk of active Internet user base in the country.About 60 percent users are estimated to be accessing theInternet through mobile devices for activities like chatting,accessing the social networking sites and mobile blogging,followed by information search. (23 percent of the total activeusers).As India plans toincrease its share of nuclearpower generation fromcurrent level of four percentto nine percent in the next25 years, IT companies arenot leaving any chance tograb key engineeringcontracts.JKJKJKINDIAN IT FIRMS BID FOR $7 BILLION NUKE POWERDEALSCompanies like TCS, Satyam, QuEST Global and CranesSoftware have shown interest in bidding for these contracts.India is emerging as a major player in the global race to buildnuclear power plants and there are plans to create additional15-17 gigawatts(GW) of nuclear power. Experts said that itcould cost anywhere between $2 billion and $4 billion to designand build a nuclear power station, which can generate 1GW ofpower. The cost is likely to vary based on the technology of thenuclear plant, the power of the reactor and the location of theplant.
